Dang I was going through some old copies of Tesoro's MD booklet and came across several articles I wrote for Jack back then, including one on the Band

There is also an article on how to set the Golden for rejecting tabs and hitting nickels, called the 7-3-5 setting. I forgot I used to belong to Tesoro's Writers Club way back. How many remember the MD newspaper Jack used to publish? I helped get that off the ground way back when. My how time flies.

Howdy Uncle Willy

I remember the MDI mags Tesoro puts out, I wish I had kept all the ones I had. I remember an article on the Bandido by a fellow by the name of B.G. Revis so I guess that fellow was you.It was a good read, about you and another guy at a school grounds with your Bandidos.I believe you was finding deep wheat pennys but no silver on that particular hunt. You described a deep signal that covered a wider area than a coin in this school yard, and by whipping the coil faster over the target you would get a better signal. It was a very informative article, and you did good.I have an original Bandido and a Bandido ll uMax,they are great for old homestead yards that are carpeted in nails.HH.........Hombre

Yeah that was me. I wrote a lot of stuff for all the treasure mags for 25 years. Wish I still had my Bandidos. I keep looking for one of the oldies in good shape. That whipping the coil still works. The MInelab boys call it wiggling and on my Garrett Forum it's called "twitching."
