DANDELION FIELDS FOREVER / My last few weeks of finds

Joel-Winnipeg

New member
For the past few weeks I've been hunting a local park known for old coins. It's yielded silver in the past and was not to disappoint again. I usually do the park in the daytime and hit school yards in the evening hours. In this case I used two machines - The ACE 250 and Brand X. This was the result of a few weeks and so many hours of detecting.

The yellow flowers are in their prime at this stage.

As you can see all the good stuff (junk) that comes without too much discrimination.

This is the clad that came out mixed in with the good stuff (junk). Dig everything out is the word you'll keep hearing. Amounts to $19.30.

As you can see the list of the silver, Wheaties, and foreign coins that were dug up in the park, none of these came from the school site. Strange that the only old coin, the 1918 penny, came out of the 1980's school yard.

Here is other junk jewelry and miscellaneous articles that were dug up.

Here are some of the rings I found. Two .925 rings (small silvers).

Thanks for looking.

I guess it depends on where you live, but it seems like you have a greater variety of coins. Always love your higher denomination coins. We here in the states can match you on the trash though.

I hear they taste good when prepared properly.

Mullein - Excellent home remedy for congestion and lung problems, just put the plant in a jug of water and let it steep in the sun for a day. Slightly yellow liquid keeps for a week in the fridge and will clear up the congestion caused by hayfever, colds, etc.

Cheers,

You can roast the root and make a coffee subtitute. Use the young bud as capers. Fry the flowers and make fritters. Also use the flowers and make a little wine.
The Dandelion has saved many people's lives, because it is high in vitamin c. That is why it was brought to the new world. When you can't get limes, there was always Dandelions.

Good job John:)
