It's always good to remember the landowner who let you dig on his property when the finds start coming in. A simple thing like this can keep you digging for a long time to come. Besides, it's just a decent thing to do! The first one has a picture of the commanding General of the troops from this camp. It's blurry, but I don't want you research hounds tracking down my camp!

The second one has a replica buckle (Genuine brass and lead filled-made in Pakistan  (Thank you Kelleyco) Just a few bucks and it looks good in a case.

We will deliver these to the land owners this weekend when we go back to VA after more relics. A few bullets and buttons can go a long way!

& great resarch to get a pic of the General. We have done similar cases in our area on productive sites & it's always cemented our permission for years to come. Well worth the price of a small case & a few bullets....

Tony,

Kudos to you re. the very nice presentation to give to the landowners. My two hunting partners & I have/do exactly the same here in VA, and the outward display of "thanks" by presenting a relic display case of recently found CW relics has gone a long way in enabling us to continue hunting in our "neck of the CW woods" with these landowners.

Keep doing the "good deed" and HH!

Maybe that new Texas aqua country band plays that tune?

Seriously- That good deed will hopefully open up some other sites 4 you fellas too-

Can you dig it?

He boasts about playing the "Aquistic" guitar. I figure that has to be an aquatic, acoustic guitar....i.e. an underwater guitar. Here is a picture of him "gittin~r~dunded":ban:

Great gesture Tony! We gave a landowner pick of the finds after a week hunt with some buddies here in Germany, he took an old brass beer barrel plate that has the contents of liters in it and a stamp of the person who quality assured the size of the barrel. I now have sveral fields to hunt for life two mins from the house. HH, Mike

Although I have to admit I did a lot of squintin' trying to read that blurry writing :)
