Dad's First Seated VIDEO!

D Merc

New member
Dad and I decided to get out and do some hunting in the snow yesterday, we had a great hunt. Dad was rewarded with his first seated dime which is in excellent condition, and I was able to find this sweet button. Im not real familiar with the button so if you guys would like please help me identify it Thanks! Hope you enjoy this video.

Nice finds! I am certain your dad will never forget his first seated, because I haven't forgotten mine! 1942 Seated Dime!!!

Nice finds! That is a beautiful seated dime. The button looks to be Civil War era - that's the type we would find in Virginia. Way to go & HH!

Great hunt. Congrats on the seated!! Button is Civil war period Infantry - that letter is a capital "I" for infantry.

I'll watch the video shortly, but since I haven't yet I haven't seen the finds. But, I wanted to say that it's AWESOME you get to hunt with your dad, and I can only IMAGINE how I'll feel when I finally hit a seated coin. He must have been just THRILLED!

Nice seated dime ! Still looking for my first . .

Thanks guys for all of the comments, and thank you son for making a great video! It was awesome to find my first seated coin but pales in comparison with being able to metal detect and enjoy the time we get to spend together!
