D2 Coil Help

Flintstone

Well-known member
I just got a D2 coil try it today and can,t Pinpoint with it worth a s$$t. I have a 6x10 and do fine with it. Dose the D2 go from toe to heel like the 6X10? I was off 2 to 3" with the D2. Any help would be grate. Thanks Dean

That is the coil I use most all the time on my V3, first you need to be sure you are pinpointing correctly for you machine. I go front to back and side to side till the V3 reads the least in depth. It will always be right under the wing connecting to the rod for me.

The D2 should work the same as the 6X10. Be sure to start off to the side and then squeeze the pinpoint trigger and center. Practice on a visible coin on top of the ground by holding the coil a few inches off of the ground.

Thanks Larry, CVS, I will try this, I have only used the D2 once, for 20 or 30 min. I used the 6x10 always on my MXT with no trouble, it always pinpointed at the rod connector. But this just don't seem to do that. I hope i didn,t make a mistake trading my 6x10 away. Thanks for help. Dean

I used the 6X10 for many years on my DFX as the standard hunting coil and then later went with a 10"DD and was very pleased with the extra depth...1-2 inches.
