Well - after a few failed hunted this week I went out for the afternoon after work....not expecting much at all (especially given the total bust yesterday)

First beach was a bust also - just sinkers and various junk :)

The second beach only a few coins - disheartened, was going to head home 'empty handed'....

On the way home decided to pop back into a local beach for one last, quick try - the sand looked deep so waded for a few minutes and then - a nice, clean signal!!!!

Expecting a coin to round out the afternoon (the rest of the hunt was that bad) I was super surprised  to find in the scoop a lovely 18ct / Plat / Diamond ring....

Has been in the water for quite a while - used electrolysis to clean it up and remove the black gunk from the stones !

.....moral of the story..... never give up :)

WTG! That's a nice (expensive) looking ring! Enjoy your spring. They are calling for mixed snow/rain this weekend in Edmonton with a cold front blowing through.. :(
