This was posted different times and threads here.
Posting it more often doesn't make the detector (like the other one from T).
And the longer it lasts the more lame it becomes.

The first part of the post about automatic detectors and pictures of targets was pure fiction - and not something the company announced.

The stuff on the two power point slides was marketing department info for dealers and distributors - and like a lot of that kind of stuff it probably was based on what the marketing folks thought the engineering group could do and when they thought it would be done. Obviously the second part - the 2016 date was way too optimistic.

As far as whether First Texas is busy developing entirely new platforms for metal detection - they have said so publicly and I have good reason to believe that they are not kidding. Dave Johnson, Carl Moreland and Jorge Saad - along with lots of other engineers in El Paso aren't getting paid to sit around and fold napkins.

What products we will see and when we will see them, that's still unknown to anyone outside First Texas.
