I was coming back from my sister's house yesterday late afternoon and past a Baseball diamond I detected before with my E-trac and XL-PRO and found only clad so I happened to have my CZ-3D in the trunk of the car and thought what the heck it's on the way home and one of the few places I can still detect. I wasn't expecting much,But after a half hour I get a faint square pull tab/ zinc bounce that toped out on the pinpoint. I thought small iron as nothing but clad was found last couple of times,But said what the heck dig it as it is deep. At about 10'' is a green disc and rite away just from the patina I know it is a Indian head penny and it was an 1888. Surprised I slow down and 15 minutes later I get another soft deep hit,But this time it is a repeatable high coin tone 4 way no brainer type hit. And at about 9'' a 1906 Barber dime. I detected another half hour till dark and nothing else. It just goes to show that coil for coil the CZ's can still match the lastest and greatest in depth! And to think I was using the stock 8'' coil! That is why I will always have a CZ in my detector arsenal!
