When do you all think it's coming out? It's been too long since Fisher (FTP) has had a new CZ unit.
When you think of all the advancements lately from FTP (Both Fisher and Teknetics) they have quite a bit of technology to draw upon not to mention a great great base with the CZ units.
I say it will be quite the industry shocker when released. Sorry if I speak matter of factly. I have no evidence, just lots of us have been talking about it, it's been too cold to hunt most of the time, you know...

don't believe (f.t.) is headed in that direction!..really hope i'm wrong.

If Fisher comes out with a new detector, i hope they make it after the CZ7a pro, Water proof, easy to set up, put the F75 insides in it, and i would be first to buy. The old CZ was some of the top detectors. OH put the enhanced mode of the CZ3D in. Dean

Fisher is pushing its F series and wouldn't be surprised if the CZ line is discontinued( unfortunately)

Shoot, the way the Gold Bug works in the wet salt sand, and how it can ground balance and run smooth on it, I think they should think about that same design and make a waterproof unit.

A nice light weight one with all the features of the Gold Bug except the display. Make it so it is waterproof for rain and a splashing...it doesn't have to be rated to 250 feet.

I love using the Gold Bug on the beach, but I just don't use it enough because I have waterproof units and I don't want to get the GB fried by salt water.

I still like my CZ's the best though !

I enjoy the CZ line but a F80 duel freq would be more likely.
If the CZ has a handicap its not having a DD coil.

Cant be done with good ID with the duel boards. I would like to see Fisher come out with a dedicated beach machine though.

it wouldn't surprise me to see the opposite. I look for the cz lne to be filtered out before long. That will be a very sad day in my book if it happens.

We were discussing this on another forum and Tom Dan Kowski said:

Why have a detector that you can select which individual freq you want to use.......when......technologically.......we can produce a multi-freq detector.......maximize each freq que.........homogenize the pique response from each freq........let the microprocessor analyze all of the input data.......and produce the best response (and ID) for ANY/ALL detected targets......regardless of conductivity.

Now, I believe he either helped or was the primary designer of the CZ3D, so he knows what he is talking about. I think it would be a waste to let go of the two frequency machines unless we do it like the Minelabs, which apparently are done one frequency at a time. But no other manufacturers have anything like what Minelab does. (BTW - They stopped advertising 4 months ago in major UK publications so it looks like they might be releasing stg. soon.)

Anyway, I really can't see Fisher/FTP totally letting go of the CZ (dual frequency) technology as it worked so well. Why not bring the overdrive of the F Series together with the dual frequency of the CZ? Maybe we can't run DD coils with them (DD's are my favorite) but maybe there is a way around that.

Something seems to be coming, many manufacturers are due - Fisher CZ, Minelab E-Trac (out 3 years +), Tosero (been a while), Garrett 1500/2500 (Been a loong time). I'd say this year is going to bring quite a few and I'd guess we'll see the first signs in the next 2 or 3 months, if not later this month.

edit - I'm not suggesting TD knows anything , just that we were all discussing new units on the horizon.

Hey guys, sign me up. I love my CZs. Come on Fisher give us one more shot. We are lining up for the chance to buy one more CZ. Would love but I am afraid we are done.

After the beach test i did today. CZ-21,Excal,ETrac and AT Pro. The CZ came out on top. Fisher would be foolish to let that tech go.

How about expanding on your beach efforts with the Gold Bug? I am sure people are curious about how it performs on the beach. Give us some details about the wet sand and beyond the surf line experiences if you would.
I would love to hear how it performs.

Anyone had the same problem as I did with the Gold Bug 11" coil???? IT LEAKED after 3 minutes submerged in fresh water..... Just askin'...... let me know... Did I get a dud????
Never had that problem with 'Old faithful' my CZ7aPro.... ???
