Im getting a a CZ7a Pro and would like some tips on the unit. Anyone care to post how they did in Va with it? and what settings they were using? If the machine and I get along It'll be DIV VII bound.

As far as I am concerned any CZ is a good one..Read Mike's CZ page as it will help http://mikewd.fws1.com/ any specific questions drop me an E-mail..Next to the last of the digital version of CZ's is an excellent unit without question...

Bill,I used a ID Excel at a old school in Bedford VA which I'm sure it had been hit really hard.I recovered a half dozen wheats 2 silver dimes and a buffalo nickle in red packed clay most of these coins 5 to 6 inches.Another trip to the same school with the CZ7A I found wheats going over the same area that I missed but I didn't have as much time to search on this visit.Compared to the Excel even in the red clay I think the CZ has better depth. What I like about the CZ7A is being able to notch, which you can't with the CZ3D.Like Dan said these are great metal detectors, and if they do start producton on the CZ70 you have made a good investment.
