I just got my CZ7a Pro in the mail. I set it on Normal mode, ID mode, Sens 8, Vol 4, And a notched out the iron. Im gound balancing using the "pushbutton" method. Any suggestions?

VaBill,

I would drop your sensitvity to 4 and increase the volume to 10 and adjust with headphones-unless you want the deep ones to be very faint versus the more surface targets. The "bobbing" method is more accurate but I often used the "pushbutton" method as well very successfully. I have hunted down in Danville Virginia with a CZ-70. I didn't notch anything out so I could hear everything including the iron falses to high tones...Thomas Dankowski recommends this...Hope that helps...HH

Glad I read Christophers post before I posted as Christopher must have read my mind. Excellent post...I might add those with excellent hearing and top of the line headphones might elect to use 4 volume to give the signal a modulated effect as they know right from the get go if its deep or not and a lot more info can be had by an experienced operator by the audio effect..

I can't run mine that high maybe 4 and in bad ground 2 but I would manual ground bal
