CZ70 PRO

Hi All, What is the defiance from the CZ 70 PRO and the CZ7a ? Is there much? I had a Cz 6a and can,t remember what was deference. I got a very nice CZ70 PRO and it seam to do very well, i have all of the coils for it. I think i like the 5" coil better than the others. Thanks Flintstone

The CZ-7a has 12 aa battery's under the arm cup. Also it is on a s-rod like the analog's. I just picked one up as you might have read on my previous post. And it is a 3 tone detector where the CZ-70 Pro is a 4 tone detector. I think that is it if not I'm sure Dan,PA. can chime in as he is the resident CZ expert.

Yes the Cz 70 pro is which i have and it does indeed have 4 tones. The 4th tone is the highest for telling you that you have an old or good coin in the ground. It works wonderful my silver and indian penny count went up conciderably when i purchased this machine.from what i learned the CZ70 pro is an upgrade from the 7a by one tone.Other then that they hunt basically the same.

To add to Harolds post CZ7A was a rod mount only and could not be hipmounted and had a S handle configuration versus the pistol grip configuration of the CZ70.
CZ7A was a tad heavier but with batteries under the armcup it was more ergomomic and well weighted using AA batteries versus 9 volt of the 70.
Now if you are comparing the CZ7A pro to the CZ70 pro....70 had the 4th tone and that segment on the meter was renamed Relic but basically the same unit...

Thanks All for the replies, I think i am going to like this detector, I know it is old and can,t be fixed if something happens to it, but it looks and works like a new one. Hope it will last a long time. Thanks Flintstone

My indian count went from 4 to 14 in a 3 week span when i first started useing mine. Great machine.:super:

It bounces between penny and relic. I keep the sens. at 4 mostly but when i'm in the woods i'll go at six no higher or i get false signals. I keep relic, nickle, penny and high coin onand all the rest I notch out. Bottle caps i can tell because they give a very high tone at any depth but i still dig them regardless. Nails are a given nomatter where you set your machine at. I can't never seem to outrun them.

Another great thing about the CZ70,is the ability to notch any/all combinations. You can knock out iron, zinc, and high coins and concentrate on gold for beach and sports field hunting. It also has backlight . Thanks.

You guys need to run it wide open.

They can be repaired depending on what the problem is. Fisher has limited parts available, their is a website called broken detector.com that
does repairs and claims to have parts for older detectors. Never used them so not knowledgable as to how good they are. I do know they
have been around a long time. Just something to keep in mind.
