CZ70 Pro as a hip mount

I hunted about three hours today with my CZ 70 on my hip. I used the Fisher plate and just hung it on my belt. I was a little concerned about the coil cord getting a pretty consistent pull on it as I swung, but I put a retainer on it high and gave myself plenty of slack. I was able to kneel down and recover targets and my headphones didn't drive me crazy. That was the good news. The bad news, I didn't find anything in an 1850's yard but an antique broach. I donated that to the "lady of the house". The place has been hunted at least two or three times by a neighbor who told them he didn't find much. I don't think he was lying. Not much evidence of him digging and he was there last weekend. I just think some great looking places don't have many coins to find. I was impressed with the three hour hunt and no arm strain. I will continue to use the CZ 70 as a hip mount. I hope I can blunder into some coins with it on the next hunt.

Not a fan of this hipmount(think the analog was more stable and secure) sure works well for bigger coils and takes a while to get used to a hipmount especially if you always rodmount..Yep have to watch you don't pul the wire so always run the wire under my belt and leave an extra loop to prevent any strain on the coil wire..Fisher makes a nice chestmount which you might look into as meter can be seen better in this position. With the exception of the CZ7 and 7A which were rod mount only a CZ is not the best ergonomically and weightwise but is surely doable with the stock 8 inch coil once you build up the needed arm muscles thru use. When looking at those 5 pound wrist breakers with strange handles of years ago guys must have been tough at arm wrestling competitions.
