I took my cz70 to an old yard that I've hunted with a bunch of different detectors over the last 10-15 years. Town was founded in 1866 and this house dates to 1890-1900. Hardly any grass, just scruffy ground cover or bare dirt. When you swing your coil, you get multiple iron hits in every swing. Using the 5 inch coil(skunked with the 8 incher) I managed a 1946D Rosie, and a well worn 1913D wheatie in the front and side yard. First silver I've ever gotten here, best finds had been some V nickels and cool whatzits a few years back.
Since digging is easy, should I be digging all the iron signals to see if they are masking stuff underneath?? Or run my shadow x2 at just under nickel disc and dig everything?? I love my cz for most hunting, but need help in using it in this heavy iron. Thanks and HH. Bob.
