CZ70 finds Roman......well.....sort of.......

Hi All,

Having some great success with the CZ70 now. I have learned that the foil tone will pick up smaller coins too. I can't notch out foil at all, because I'll wind up missing small hammered and small Romans too. This is a barbarous radiate, which is a contemporary forgery of a Roman coin. Still, it's tiny and it's about 1800 years old, so it's a good 'un for me. Lesson learned.....don't notch out foil in England!!!!!
 
& yes, I learned the hard way too, thinking UK coins would act like our US ones....not even close. You really gutta dig everything but iron....
I like that coin & the dime really shows it's size. It's in good shape, not a "grot"....:ukflag:

Great dig Steve!! I am suprized how many roman coins were that small size. I have only found one and it was that same size.Good stuff!:beers::usaf:
