CZ6a- What a Detector

RLOH

Well-known member
I have a CZ6a that I tried to sell last month and I am glad I didn't sell this detector. I have had every Fisher made and I got this detector on a trade and I wasn't sure of it's capabilities as I was using a Minelab Ex11 as my main detector. Well many people will call me insane, but this detector is mighty close to the down under machine. I have found 30 wheat pennies, 1 Barber dime, 7 mercs, 5 silver roosies, and 4 Buffalo nickles in the last 15 hours of hunting. Believe it or not, I am rehunting spots that I have hunted for the last 5 years. Many of these coins were 8 plus inches deep and were found in trashy picnic grounds. CZ's have got an unfair reputation of being deep iron hogs, but once you recover some deep rusty nails, there are many traits that distinguish this trash. First repeatablility, second audio tones, and pinpoint sizing. I can almost eliminate most all deep rusty iron and if I do dig, I know it is a crap shoot before I dig. I have said it before and I'm saying it again; its hard to believe that the CZ's are early 90's technology. Fisher hit a homerun with these detectors. Thanks Dan! R.L.

Hands down these are the best for DEPTH and reliability. I always hunted with a Whites xlt until I tested my first Fisher back in the early 90's. I found a good target with the cz5 and my xlt wouldn't even make a sound over it. It was a merc at 8". From that point on I have hunted with a cz. I have even had the explorer2 for a while...but I then came right back and purchased my cz70pro a few weeks ago. LIFETIME warranty and depth. Yes...every now and then I dig a nail but I know it's iffy before I dig because the sound isn't repeatable. I have found many coins inside the hole WITH the nail too. IF the sound is repeatable...it's always been a coin if it says so on the meter. Out of all the cz'z...I will never let go of my 70pro. As always...keep digging!

I really believe coil for coil a CZ is deeper that any on the market and used them all except the Nautilus..Why they discontinued the older CZ line is a mystery to many including myself..Lets hope the recent consolidation leads to a 1-100 metered CZ..As far as those pesky deep iron nails after some experience you will dig very few. Might try Mike's CZ page as it has a lot of info....I am sure many excell with different machines but for deep silver or a saltwater beach just a tough unit to equal or excell....not trying to start a detector war just my lowly opinion on a fine detector...

Everone who wants to see the return of the CZ should email FISHER and tell them so
