CZ6a IS IT A SLOW SWEEP?

Flintstone

Well-known member
Hi All, I just got my CZ6a back from Tom, but now we have 2" of snow. Don,t that beat all, been nice all Jan. till i get it back and now this. But i was looking at other post at slow sweep detectors, that they can pick out good out of bad. I don,t swing fast anyway, but can i just barley move the coil in trash and still get good targets? Any help would be nice, and hope this stuff will go away soon. Thanks Dean

Dean as long as you have motion you can still find targets even in trash alot of people don't even use the pinpoint button due to the fact you barely have to some motion to detect an item. And I have always heard the slower you swing the less your likely to miss a good target! Do an airtest on it and see how slow you can move the targets in front of the coil to the point where your detector won't pick it up then you will have a general idea of the motion required to detect a target! This is fun to do on days like you are having right now.

Just a fact of life with CZ's they go deeper when swung slowly..Learned that in the 90's with my first CZ. Not getting any good hits and tired after a long day my swing came to a crawl and in the last half hour got 3 silver coins. In the field is where its at and where one learns the abilities of his unit...

Thanks All, I am glad it is slow because i am slow to. With a broken back and now neck going out on me all i can do is go slow. Sometimes after 15 or 20 min. after i dig a target i just lay on the grass for a little while, have had people ask if i was ok and i tell them i am grate.

It is nice to be on the sunny side of the sod, though it may be better elsewhere... For here & now MDing is pretty close to Heaven where the streets are paved with gold and there are no "No Trespassing" signs (that's the other place!).
