CZ6a hiccup

New to this forum; I recently purchased CZ6a on E-Bay and found this site when I googled CZ6a problem.
The CZ has worked fine for about 2 weeks but yesterday I found it would freeze up on the last task it was used for. Such as the needle would lock up on silver and the ground balance settings and sensitivity settings would still be the same after I had turned the unit off and then back on. I can still hunt with it but I would like to find out why I can`t re calibrate the CZ after turning it back on. I took batteries out and re-booted it but it still goes back to last condition used. Any Ideas?...Thanks

I had one do that and all I had to do to reset it was force an overload. Put the coil over a large metal object and it went back to zero. Not sure it will work for you, but I finished a season resetting it this way before sending it in during the winter.

Took it out again this afternoon and recovered some clad and costume jewelry but it got stuck in pin point mode
now and removing batteries and rebooting does nothing. It still comes back on in pin point mode. Thanks for the suggestion cometguy. I called fisher labs and will ship it to them on Tuesday...I guess I`ll have to use the Ace 250 for back up until I get it back.
