CZ6a & CZ3d Mounting Plate Question.

New member
The mounting plate for the cz6a different than the one for the cz3d....The cz3d fits perfect on the plate intended for this rod setup. When I remove the cz3d control box and mount the box on the rod for the cz6a, I can use one finger and slide the cz3d box back and forth on the cz6a plate...

Might be the stop tab on CZ3 isn't the same as on CZ6a............Look at the bottom side of both boxes...

The metal on both pieces can be gently adjusted with a good set of pliers or channel locks to get the proper mating tension. Subtle is the key. Too much back and forth and the metal looses its temper and snaps. Think twice, bend once.
Good luck!

How old is the CZ6a rod set up ?

My guess is that good ole 6a's mounting plate is worn a bit more and smoother, hence the newer CZ3D slides on and off easier.

Just a guess.

Elton, Pasttom and Therover, all three answers did the job...Thank You...
