CZ6a and CZ7a

CZ6a has analog tuning with knobs. CZ7a has analog ground balance and digital increments adjustments with push button panel. Both are weather resistant with head phones in place. CZ7A has a notch, 6A doesn't. Both have 3 ID tones in discriminate mode.

Performance wise, they should be essentially the same.

Just like tvr stated, performance is pretty much the same. The only reason I like the 6a more is that you can fine tune the sensitivity better since it's a knob. I don't use notching but someone who does and likes it, may opt for the 7a.

Have to add the most important differences...7A is rod mount only and 6A can be hipmounted. 7A takes 12 AA Batteries under armcup 6A takes 2 9 volt batteries in control box..Adjustments 7A.. 2-4-6...6A 1-2-3-5 etc., 7A shows depth to 10 inches...6A shows depth to 8 inches and of course 6A is much older being initially made in 93 which really doesn't make much difference as problems are far and few between at least with my experience....with CZ's...CZ7A being digital is in my estimation a tad slower and audio seems to be stronger on the 6A. Probably forgot something so feel free to add if I did...
In addendum if you are confusing the CZ7A and CZ7A pro would have to change my post...

Hey Dan,
I guess the 7aPro is more like the 6a? Might go with the pro, pretty sure the performance is like the 6a...thanks for the info. John

Has no speaker and is splash proof.
From the 6 a's that I have had, there were a little deeper than the 7a,7a pro and cz 70 that I owned...
