CZ5-or CZ6

Which is a better analog detector the CZ6 or CZ5 and when did they come out. Thinking of getting either used. Thanks
 
CZ6 late 91 or early 92.and only made for little over a year as they had problems with the connector to the box. Connector was changed and CZ5 came upon the scene about 93 and had an outside speaker but was not weather resistant..About the same time CZ6A also came upon the scene with the connector changed, pigtail for the headphones removed and a weather resistant exterior...
All about the same performance wise...but a CZ6 is dated at about 92 so you are talking about a 13-14 year old unit...if you buy used..
 
it did great at the beach. The DD coil wasn't that great, but the 8" coil was smooth with no falsing at all. Didn't find the first piece of jewelry, but did find about $5.00 in clad.

CZ5's are gettin harder to find, but well worth the wait and money when you have the oportunity to buy one, snatch it up.
 
I found one from a Mr. Bill's website. New in the box for $525.00 .He kept a few old ones back. Will be here on the 8th. NOw I have the CZ-70 & CZ-5. Thanks again
 
Glad you are having some luck with it. I'm just a Fisher fan. Trying to get my old machines back I used to have. Don't know why I ever let them go. WOW! What a mistake that was.
