If its a saltwater beach and you are working in the wet sand the stock 8 inch will handle the conditions better....now fresh water or dry sand the larger coil equates to superior coverage over the stock 8 inch...
Indeed I have hit quarters well over a foot with the stock 8 inch so be prepared to dig deep...
I have a CZ5 with 5", 8", and 10 1/2" coils and have never really seriously did many air tests with the different coils, but can tell you it is one deep machine in the dirt where it counts !
Even the small 5" coil is a depth demon and has almost the same depth as the stock 8 " coil. The large coil makes the detector front heavy but if you hip or chest mount the detector you can swing the coil all day.
Great detector and I will always have a CZ around for the excellent depth they get. HH......
Digger, sounds like you got a hot CZ-7a Pro! I was wondering where do run you sens. to get that kind of depth? I have one on the way. I had a CZ-70 Pro ,But couldn't run it past 4 and the depth suffered as I could not hit dimes that would pinpoint at 10'' on my buddy's CZ-7a Pro that he had no problem hitting! I know some say they have different sens. parameters,But his was diffently hotter and could be run hotter! To this day it is one of the hottest CZ's I have ever seen!
