CZ3d value

What is a fair value of a two year old CZ3d? It has been tuned by Tom D. Works great. No scratches or dents anywhere. Looks like new. Thanks Ken

It depends alot on what it will air test a dime at? The closer to 12" the better I would say even though I think any CZ over 11" is a good one IMHO.

Well a lot of people look for that magic 12" number but not many 12" Detectors out there. Some think if it's a 1021 it will automaticaly be a 12" unit not true as I have a buddy with a 1021 that is 10.7" so not always true.
I would think to the rite guy 450.00. Also it seems like used Detector market is down rite now for some reason.

Thanks for the info. I am looking forward to using it. I normally hunt with an MXT AP. Once again thanks for answering. G.L. and H.H. Ken

A lot depends on actual age, how deep it hunts, condition etc....indeed good luck selling as used detectors are hard to move at present time...imagine has something to do with all the better than sliced bread foreign units on the market which for the most part won't hunt as deep as yours....

Dan are we talking in the ground depth like a Deus?

that's what I was wondering Frank. I know theres a big to do between the 11" - 12" range but is that in ground or bench testing? and on what target?
Geez 1" isn't much at all, I would put my value more on condition(given the CZ was in that coveted range).
And does it have to be calibrated by Tom D. for it to get those numbers? I gotta bench test my CZ5........

Neil/Frank,
Tom certifies the depth listed on the calibration sticker using in-ground testing on a dime in his test garden. (That would be his inert Florida dirt...no mineralization.)

If your coins sink, and/or are covered by bio-matter at the rate of aprox. 10 years per inch, sometimes that extra inch/decade is the difference between clad and silver.

Those numbers are generally what the detector is already capable of. He can squeeze a little more...sometimes...but generally it's the 'native' capability of that particular unit.
And since every detector (and sometimes even coil) is slightly different, it's nice to know for sure how it's performing.

:)
