CZ3d Shaft problems

I really like my cz3d 1021 model I just got it but I hate the way the shaft is. I have been looking but I cannot seem to find an aftermarket shaft or straight shaft made for it. any help?

You could make your own. The main shaft is 7/8 inch outside diameter. I've used 6061 alloy aluminum tube for shafts for different detectors. I've used 3/4 outside diameter to slide inside the 7/8 tube for use as a splice. Reuse the lower shaft piece that the coil mounts to and you can drill the rivets that hold the adapter that the detector slides onto and reuse that on a new shaft. Whites sells a arm rest with foam cushion for a very good price that is easy to use on a home made rod if you don't reuse the Fisher one that comes with the detector. You can use a minelab Sovereign hand grip, a Fisher CZ20/21 hand grip or a bicycle handle bar end grip so that no welding is needed. I have a band saw to make straight cuts on the tubing, but I have made a couple of shafts using just a hand hack saw and hand held drill. Work slowly, measure and mark and re-check it all, be patient, and the inexpensive hand tools do just fine.

Here is a fairly recent post of how another forum member made one from a purchased straight shaft and his own method of mounting the detector:
