CZ3D sensitivity

Well-known member
Is it true that the sensitivity doesn't need to go past 6 to get maxium depth on a cz3d ?
Seems like you could get more depth with a higher setting if the detector runs stable.

Supposed to max out around five-something; beyond that, (I believe) the only increase is in the width of the detection field.

Ok...air tested mine and it seems to max out at 6 sensitivity...
No noticeable gain from 6 to 10 on sensitivity....
This is definately a little different from my other detector.
With it the more sensitivity you use , the more depth gain you get.

Most CZ-3D's max out Sens. At 4-6 as they all are a little different. I had a 1021 I could run 7 with out Falsing at all. That was one of the First run CZ-3D's. I should have kept that one as never found a hotter one since. The one I have now runs smoothest and hottest at 4.5 Sens. setting.
