CZ3D Question

Captain Hook

New member
I have only had the CZ3D three weeks. I am still learning my way around with her. Today I took her to an old Elementary School. I dug lot's of clad, a few Wheat's, and my FIRST INDIAN PENNY (1903) !!!! Sometimes I would get what sounded like a good target but the CZ3D would only sound off in one direction, so I moved on. The sometimes I would get what sounded like a good target, however I could not get the detector to pinpoint on the target. Do you think these were just deep targets? What do you do in these situations? Thanks for the help.

Probably the edge of deep junk...Rule of thumb if it won't repeat from at least two directions leave it lie...Could be a turned coin on end, one next to junk but the odds are its junk..If in a real old area with not many hits might go for an iffie or two but usually just move on...

Thanks Dan, exactly what I did.

Try digging a couple of those one-way and disappearing signals. Although 99% are probably junk in most cases...things may be different in your soil. Would hate to think that an old deep coin on edge might just have been passed up. There's nothing like experience.
