CZ3D keeps making noise when swinging - HELP HELP

Hi all..I desperatelly need help on this one. When i am swinging my CZ3D back and forth, it will make a noise such as when you locate a target (coin) Most annoying and problem is that it is intermittent. I sent it back to Fisher last year, they had it for a week and could not find anything wrong with it. I do know what i am speaking about, had this machine for several years and have been a VERY active trshunter for over 40 years now. I have tried changing the batteries to no avail. Does anyone else have this problem? Please help if you can? I would so appreciate any help on your behalf and thank you in advance. Pleae respond to my e mail address at Trshunter@aol.com.

Try a different coil see if it still doe's it.? Also try turning your Sensitivity down as some spots can handle more then others. I have a few spots that I have to go down to 4 Sens. And also try ground balancing different a little Positive or Negative, and Neutral. Maybe one of the 3 will make it run smoother. Also make sure cable is ramped tightly around the rod and connecter is tightly screwed into the housing. Maybe one of these will help as sometimes it is the simple things.

trshunter,

Harold has given you some great advice...also I would make sure that the battery compartment terminals are clean and have a strong spring to them when you put your batteries in.
Same thing (good clean contacts) with the coil connector/socket.

Actually I feel as Harold does because of your ground or improper ground balance you have to set your sensitivity low...I can ground balance with a blindfold on as being doing it for 20 yrs and still sometimes can get over 4 for sensitivity and keep a quiet unit...

Might practice ground balancing in your back yard doing the bobbing method so when you hit the field a few bobs and its balanced...to a new user of a CZ takes a bit to get it right..

One more thing to consider. I was complaining about an intermittent signal on my CZ3d. I finally realized it was sounding off on my digger I had on my left side. It would get to the far left and give me a good signal. Hard to believe but true. Maybe instead of a problem it is working too well.
