CZ3D for Relic Hunting

Has anyone used a CZ3D for Civil War relic hunting ? I have one and I know it was built with coins in mind but was wondering if anyone ever used it for relic hunting ?

Thanks,
Mark

Mark, I was hoping somebody would jump in here with an answer for you. I have never used my CZ3d as the the "go to relic hunter" but I am sure it would do fine. One of my best finds ever was a Ohio Civil War Veteran's Medal and the CZ found it an crazy depth. One of those digs where I gave up three times because it was so deep. It just kept sounding too good and I kept going back. So glad I did go after this one. I have carried one on two relic hunts as a back up machine and never broke it out. I think it would do a great job, especially out in the wide open spaces. Let us know what you are thinking about and if you decide to use the CZ.

Up until two or so years ago I have used a CZ as my primary relic detector. They love lead, there a bullet vacuum. I have a CZ 7a pro & a 1021 CZ 3D both with the 10.5" coils on them. I have dug over a thousand Minnie balls with them. Deep machines for sure.

Interesting topic , I'm thinking about getting a CZ as a back up relic machine my self....Any suggestions on witch one? CZ3D or the 7aPro?

I RECOMMEND the CZ-7aPro because it is WEATHERPROOF, CZ-3D is NOT!! The CZ-7aPro is MOUNTED MORE like a Straight Shaft SET-UP for More COMFORTABLE SWINGING, and the CZ-3D is NOT!! Also, they were ALL manufactured by the orig. FISHER Co., so they WILL ALL be OUT of Warranty, and YOU HAVE to Buy a USED ONE!! So,
Make sure YOU Buy from SOMEONE HIGHLY RELIABLE with an EXCELLENT REP on One of the Treasure Websites!! Better Yet, CONSIDER a CZ-70Pro (also WEATHERPROOF,
Has 4-Tone ID like CZ-3D, but manufactured AFTER CZ-7aPro with SAME Straight Shaft Style Mount!! Hope this helps, Les Robinson.
