General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

cz3d broken out of box!!!

just got my new cz3d after waiting 14 days for it to get here,took the day off so i could sign for it,and it's broken,wtf!! the meter bounces all over ,no matter what coin i airtest..the needle will only go as far as nickle and thats it,and it does not lock on..dealer told me to contact first texas,first texas told me to contact dealer...i give up!!waiting for an email from first texas now
 
Call First Texas, talk to Felix. Ask for a Return Authorization Number and a shipping label to send it back on their account (assuming you have only dad it for a month or so. Pack it back up, include a copy of the sales receipt and except for the frustration, you should be OK.

A good dealer would replace that machine as fast as possible for you... I would have to think maybe your dealer wasn't a finds sponsor dealer.
Since it is faulty out of the box..and no fault of yours..It would only be right the dealer replace the machine, and send a pick up order for the faulty one.

Sorry you had a problem........... it's aggravating when something arrives and doesn't work properly. Even worse when you get the run around for a replacement...
 
update,i'm pretty sure it is a bad coil,i pulled the cable tight and put some ties on it and it works great,if i loosen it and let the cable have play in it it messes up,the problem seems to be at the connector...i just went to the school with it and it worked fine the entire time..i told fisher i was gonna buy the big coil in a few weeks and if that solves the issue then i have a bad coil,they said let them know and they will replace my coil,or my unit!!one thing i'm happy about is ..i buried a dime 10 inches and it rings up loud and clear with rock solid id,but yet it only airtests at 8 inches..i guess the new ones just dont airtest to great but in ground is awesome,i also dug 8 nickle signals and all were actually nickles,another positive!
 
i agree elton,i feel the dealer should of took care of it as well,he is a finds sponsor,but i won't throw him under the bus,as i have had great deals with him before,just never had an issue like this with a detector from him,so now i know to move on !!
 
That really surprises me about the dealer being a sponsor here. I have had nothing but good luck, and almost instant replacement service with the Finds Treasure Forums Great sponsors I have had the pleasure of buying from..
 
Agree 100% with Elton.

Saving a couple bucks by going with the rock bottom lowest price isn't always the best deal for reasons that become obvious if you have an issue with a new detector.

Don't know who you bought the cz-3d from and I won't ask.

But I know the sponsors I've dealt with on this forum would have taken the detector back from you and they would have dealt with the manufacturer.

Anyway, glad you have arrangements to get the coil taken care of and that the detector is working well for you.
 
I too have had great luck with sponsors on here,i was suprised myself..the dealer could have atleast sent me another coil to try and see if that resolved the issue..live and learn i guess..i didnt go for rock bottom price..i would gladly pay full price if i had to ,as long as it comes with great service..it's partially my fault..i've used the same dealer for years..(richard @ backwoods detectors)awesome service..this time i used someone else because i thought he had the detector in stock,and i have bought coils from him in the past..lesson learned.
 
Just chiming in from a Dealers standpoint.
Most dealers I know of are very reputable and many normally have the following policy in place.
Best bet is to contact dealer for direction.
If detector arrived defective, this is a Dealer problem and Dealer should replace detector and work out the issue with the manfacture.
If it has been used and went out durning normal use , it is a Factory problem to be repaired under warranty.
