CZ21 tips for coil strain relief?

tmattei

New member
I had to send my CZ21 back to fisher today. The unit would false signal whenever a wave, or the coil wire near the control housing was "jiggled". I always hip/chest mount, and I know that the coil wire must get strained.(espically when you trip over the wire, or hit it with your scoop.I have done both!) Does anyone use bungee cord or large rubber bands(something that will "give") to secure the coil wire near the control housing? Thanks for any tips,or pictures.

I have my CZ3D hip mounted and have the cable tied off a few inches before the strain relief with a bit of slack in the cable. I used a cable tie at first, but replaced that with a heavy twist tie to facilitate quicker coil changes.
