CZ21 REPORT................

Gulf Hunter

Active member
Initial reports were somewhat negative on the unit, so I wanted to put my 2 cents in and tell ya'll, all is well. I will not go into great detail about how to run the unit(as I have only had it in the water for about 20 hours), but I will say that as a 1st time user of any Fisher Product, that I'm very impressed. I am an experienced water hunter and currently also use an Excal 1000 & 800. I am impressed with the quality and performance of the CZ21 and expect great things in the future. OBTW, I did get 2 rings with it this weekend, one silver and one junker! Looking to break the gold ice!

Ken is doing his best to convince me as well but he's sold on CZ's, full stop. As for the Gold Slump, maybe it isn't about how you're hunting but rather it's about where you're hunting. Even you can't make gold appear in your scoop if it's not there in the first place. Change your venue.

It definitely deserves a 2nd look bda. I am in no position to offer suggestions about how to run the unit, as my time in the water is limited. Perhaps after 100 hours or so, I will be ready to offer some of that, we'll see. My venue has already been changed. I got 2 rings this weekend, but gold is still hiding. It will be mine soon enough mate!

Hey GH,

Glad to hear you're enjoying the new machine!!!

Did you purchase the Anderson shaft that you mentioned a while back?
If so, how do you like it over the stock rod?

I'm also playing with the CZ20 (picked it up recently) and was wondering about the Anderson rod.
Good luck with the machine and keep us posted!

Happy HH!!!

I don't know yet diggindirt, decided as an afterthought to purchase the heavy duty lower shaft and it's due tomorrow. I will set the unit up and try it VERY soon. Should be a dream. over stock. The only thing about it that I may not like, is the knobs will be under the cuff. I like to be able to fiddle with the knobs, savvy? I am looking forward to it though and I'm sure the comfort benefits will outweigh the limited knob access. Anderson custom painted one for me in black. That blue thing was kinda funky lookin'! I will post a pic of the unit, when complete. It should be a sexy look!

Good to read your thoughts have not had mine out yet but do run the Anderson straight staft on my excal will probably get one for the CZ-21. Dan
