CZ20 vs Excalibur or.......

Would like some input on the CZ20/CZ21 vs the Excalibur ? I want to buy a water detector soon and have heard great things about the CZ20 and the Excalibur. Are there other detectors that are better ? Garretts, Whites...?
I currently hunt with an Explorer SE, so I am leaning towards the Excalibur, but the CZ20 has a reputation... thanks.

I got this ring friday night following right behind another hunter who was using a CZ-20. He walked right over it!

I was curious if the CZ-20 was any better at picking up items than the Excal so I followed him a short while.

We were near the waters edge with surf pounding the beach and waves breaking over our coils; within just a few minutes I got this gold/diamond ring.

He looked to be covering the ground pretty well too, not lifting the coil 2 feet off the ground or anything...

Fresh water or Salt? Is the band broken?

If that ring wasn't to deep, your competitor should have heard it. Maybe he just didn't swing his coil over it?
 
iv owned both the CZ20 and the Excal 1000...i like the CZ20 much better..im now waiting for the CZ21 to come out in September!
 
If you have a lot of black sand at the beaches you hunt go with the Minelab.
 
JEG, I will soon own both and will let you know. I have never used a CZ20, so I cannot say with certainty, but time will tell. I credit whatever unit, I am running, when I post loot. Excal is smoking right now! GH
 
I have the Excals and love them. I've heard great things about the CZ20 and would very much like to use one.

I am also anxious to see how the new CZ21 performs.

My land detecting over the last 7 years has pretty much been dominated by the Explorers. I currently have a SE. However, I also have the new Fisher F75 and I am very impressed with it. I want claim that one is better than the other. Instead, they compliment each other very well as one has talents that the other is weak on and vice versa.

If First Texas/Fisher make improvements to the CZ21 on par with what they have with the F75 then I'll take out a 2nd mortgage if I have too. If it compliments the Excal as well as the F75 compliments the Explorer, then we are all in for a treat!

I'm sorry for rambling on, but that is mho.
