CZ Silver streak finally ends, and Gold starts :yo:

Last couple of hunts.

Got out with some friends @ GGP, and found this Victorian sterling silver shaker top marked "STERLING 925/1000" and a tiny mystery button (any ideas on the button?):

Found this condition challenged silver thimble last weekend, she's not pretty, but she's old:

Fourth trip out and fourth time finding silver, even if it's not silver coins

Got out again with some friends and hunted various parks. Although my silver streak ended on this trip, two 1900 Barber dimes, a Mercury dime, and small gold earring were found by the guy using the CZ3D.

I started out with my Omega and hunted for a couple of hours with it, then switched to my CZ70  Started getting deeper hits, but only turned up a turf toasted wheat. Another Omega user got a Buffalo. Then we moved to a spot that was originally an old brick factory, but now it's a small dog walking park with a lawn. Started hunting it and finding coins (lots of quarters), and more coins, but nothing old, started off with a couple of 5" deep 1960's memorials. Then making my way around the park, I got a 1940's wheat at 5", then I got a nice nickel bouncer at 5", but it sounded solid. I dug and at 5" this gold signet ring pops out :yikes:

I quickly looked at it and stashed it in my pocket. Definitely my best find of the day, as the rest was a pocket full of clad and a tiny silver (colored I believe) charm. I hunted a while longer, thinking this was a good place for jewelery drops with folks running around, playing ball, Frisbee, fetch, etc. with their dogs (in an expensive neighborhood to boot). Try as we may, no further jewelery was found at the park but a 1950's rosie silver dime was found with a F75.

The ring is marked 10K and weighs in at 6 grams. Looks to be an older ring, or at least older style

Loving the CZ70 :detecting:

Brad all I can say is the CZ70 is a terrific machine. I can't wait until we get rain, it's going to open some sites up for the ultra deepies :hot:

I'm eying the F75 Ltd or T2 Ltd. If it works out (needs to exceed the CZ70 in depth) then I'll finally have found my perfect pair. CZ70 will work for salt water beach hunting, deep turf hunting, and hopefully the F75/T2 Ltd will also be a deep turf coin machine, and non-ferrous hunter in iron bed of nail sites.

Time will tell.

After trying just about everything except the new Whites still say when I hang up my boots a CZ will have been my favorite. Old technology really exells with CZ's and imagine it will serve you well. You go together like bread and butter so good luck in your ventures...

Thanks everyone, it was a welcome find

I really like the big Sunray coil. Even if it's not deeper then the 10.5" coil (but it is), it's additional ground coverage is phenomenal. Even with a slower sweep, I cover more ground with the 12.5" coil, making up for the slower sweep, and still keep up with the big boys :detecting: I find the Sunray coil is more sensitive to small targets then the 10.5" (need further testing, but so far it appears so). It definitely makes the CZ a stable, deep-seeking and successful park hunter (sans ultra trashy parks, 5" coil for that).

Hey Cobra, I'm curious what the ring beeped through as. Foil? Pulltab? Nice finds!

desimundo it was a nickel bouncer, bounced between nickel and foil, but was a nice solid four way and sounded "better" then a pull-tab. My last nice piece of gold jewelery (8gram 14k religious medallion with 38 jewels) was also a nickel bouncer with a "better" sound then a pull-tab, but I got it with my F70. If the machine is capable, gold does seem to have a sound unto it's own, even if subtle.

desimundo it bounced between nickel and foil, but sounded really "good" like a solid deep nickel hit.
