I purchased a CZ 70 from a gent and it says quick silver on the face plate but also seen the same machine and they called it a CZ70 pro :confused:Which one is it ?

I think the CZ 7a, CZ 7a Pro, CZ 70, and CZ 70 Pro are electronically the same, with different logos and faceplates...Am I wrong?

Ahhhh...They are ALL great machines though.
Does the overload sound count as the 4th tone?

HH,
No! that's not the forth tone.
The earlier CZ's only had three target tones,
Low tone for Iron
Mid tone for the stuff between Iron and coins
And the High tone for coins and up

On the later CZ-70 the targets tones were divided up into for groups.

All the CZ land units carry the sub-title "Quick Silver" and is usually labeled that on the CZ coils. (I'm not sure about the under water CZ's)

Well since were on the subject,Was there a CZ-70 and CZ-70 Pro? Or just a CZ-70 Pro with the 4 tones?

To my knowledge there was only one model of the CZ-70 and it was the CZ-70 that introduced the 4 tone. I've never heard any great improvements hunting wise from the forth tone???

And if I remember right along with the forth tone Fisher also added another icon on the meter face.

`Mine is exactly like the one gmanlight has. From what I have read all models of the cz-70 were called the pro, and they all had 4 tones.

The fourth tone added was for foil & a relic icon was added to the probable target ID.
