CZ performance question

I currently own an Omega which I've been happy with but am lookling for an additional detector and have heard so much about the CZ's ability on the deep coins. I've been considering a Cz-3d but am wondering if that is the best in the CZ line for coins or do all the CZ's perform relatively the same on coins.

All CZ's are great for deep coin's. The CZ-3D is made for older coin's that may read in the lower tones because of patina like nickels and indians. It pushes them into a high tone as not to miss them or confuse them with trash targets.I currently have a CZ-3D,But I have had CZ-5'S, CZ-70'S, And they all are about the same depth. Once you learn the old coins bounces and read outs on a normal CZ it will preform the same as a CZ-3D.

The CZ3d was designed to high tone on all American coinage, if tuned properly. It has salt mode and enhanced mode.

There all great units and hunt about the same, again, if tuned properly, and go deep. If your strictly hunting in high iron//trash, there are better units out there for separating.

If you are after old coins and hunt in low to mid iron//trash, the CZ3d is tough to beat. It has modulated audio. It can be hip or chest mounted.

I have a serial #1021 cz3d that I'll never part with. With the 8" coil it air tests 12-1/4" on a clad dime.

I have a F5 for parks and newer sites, but break out the CZ3D for older sites and beach, runs smooth, hits deep, accurate ID, nice tones. You will have to slow your sweep down compared to the omega. If you get into small iron, run the disc at first position so you can hear the iron and high tones . When you hear the high tone mixed in, rotate around the target. If you only get 1 or 2 low iron tones in 360 degree rotation then dig, you will have a non ferous target almost always. I hip mounted mine due to the weight and really like it, can swing it for hours.

The CZ's will detect deeper in minerallized ground, it being a multi frequency detector. Your Omaga should do well in sandy soil. Try a 12"/15" SEF or a 13" Ultimate coil on your Omega if you want more depth. I use them on my T2SE & it really gave more depth & coverage.

Any CZ properly tuned is an excellent unit but if you hunt 100 year old areas a CZ3D excells for old areas all in all same depth abilities of a conventional CZ.

Much deeper than an Omega and better build quality and handles salt water enviroment much better...
