CZ MAN NOW

Well-known member
HI ALL, I just got a CZ7A, well i haven,t got it yet but it is on the way. I wanted the PRO, but got the 7A for $390.00 so can,t complain. I have never had one of these, but wan,t something i could use in the rain. If anyone has any info on these, please let me know. I have been buying and trading and now i think i will just stay with 2 my MXT and the CZ7A, that way i can have everything covered i think. What coil is good for the CZ7A? Do they make a small 6"or 7" coil for it? I like a small one, middle one, and large one, that should be good don't you think? Thanks for any help,, Dean

So you're the guy that bought that one on eBay? The seller lives very close to me and I offered him $375 cash and he refused. He was holding out for more, but in hindsight I bet he wishes he accepted my offer. After eBay, Paypal, and shipping fees, he'll be well under $350 on the deal.

Congrats on your new detector. I recently joined the CZ family myself with a 1021 CZ3D with 3 coils. It's in the mail and I can't wait to use it. I've never used a CZ and hope to learn all I can about it.

\\Hi 395, Sorry i took the detector from you. I made a offer of $350.00 and he said no, that he had 2 offers of 375.00. He came back with 385.00 i offer 375.00 he said no, so i just didn,t get back with him, next day he emailed me that if i would take it now at 375.00 + shipping i could have it, so i took it. I was going to take it at $385.00 just didn,t get back to him. Is this a nice detector? work good? If you want it i will give it up to you. Let me know Dean ( p.s. will you not say anything to him till i get the detector. ) Thanks Dean

And for this small of a coil it goes Deep!

No worries, I'm not sore about it at all. I'm actually glad he didn't accept my offer because I realized afterward that a CZ3D would probably be better for me. Then, yesterday, one appeared here at Findmall for a little over $400, it was one of the elusive 1021 series, and it came with 3 coils. I'm very happy. Hopefully we will both have success with our CZ's... Let me know how it works when you get it, and I'll do the same. Cheers!

The stock coil is a great all around coil. Goes plenty deep, pin points accurately and balances out very well. I think you will like your 'new' 7A.

Good luck and keep us posted on your finds.

Congrats, that detector sounds like a great one. I had talked to him several times about it and he made it sound mint. Let us know how you get along with it. That battery set up may be the hot ticket. I talked to another guy who said the balance was awesome with the batteries working as a counter weight. They also should last a lot longer than the 9 volts. I really debated, but went with the pro for the 4 tones. I am really amazed at all of the interest in these older Fishers. I know I wanted to break mine down for an airline trip and beach hunt. I also have a CZ3d and an F75 and felt like this was sort of a "bridge" detector and would be interesting. Keep us posted.

Hi Don, One thing that made me get it is i can hunt parks in lite rain, when on one else is there. I had a Fisher ID Excel, was a grete detector, so i know this has to be good. Now to find the little 5" coil for it and i will be set. I have the MXT for dry days, and CZ7A for wet days. Now there is no stoping me now. Good Days To All Flintstone

Hi Hombre, I have the 5" for my MXT, and that little coil will surprise you, It pick coins out of trash like a chicken picken corn out of WELL you know. I need to find one for the CZ7A. And i will be set.

Hi Flintstone

The 5.3 Bullseye coil that I use and your 5.3 Eclipse that is for your MXT is actually 6 and 1/2 inches in diameter. The 5 inch Quicksilver is 4 and 7/8 inches in diameter, but it is all I ever use on my CZ5. It is slow going with this combo, but it will seperate the trash better, I use 0 disc. and listen to all tones.
