Recently I've been taking my CZ70 out and trying to get the bouncy signals down as to what they are but i've been digging alot of trash. I run it with all but tab and foil settings at sens. at 6. It usually bounces between iron and high coin constantly with a few on relic as well. How can i tell whats a good signal
Lower your SENS to 4 and try again...If you are falsing, the #1 culprit is too much EMI in the area and your SENS set too high...You can still get 10 inch dimes with a SENS set at 4.
Do not think of it as a more is better knob...Think of it as a control knob...Sometimes less is better to keep you stable.
Run zero disc and dig the signals that repeat at least two directions. Good targets will repeat when sweeping the coil over them in another direction.........HH
Have to agree a stable unit may be had with a lower sens. As far as the audio goes hard to explain and doesn't come overnight but with time in the field and a little digging and experimenting you will know most of the time good or bad..Google Mikes CZ page as its a wealth of info for CZ users...
Dan-Pa. is correct as you need to put time in on a CZ to learn its language. Just because it is easy to set-up doesn't mean there is no learning curve. After awhile you be digging less and less trash and even cut down on some deep nails,But not all! But that is O.K. as the great depth is the trade off. Even my E-trac will hit good on a deep bent nail every once in awhile.
My cz 7 ever since I bought it, could not run sens past 4. On some occaisons, my bouncing between low tone and high, resulted in multiple targets
of which one is iron with a coin either below or right next to it.
Some of the digital's you can't run past 4 sens. But I have a CZ-7a Pro I can run at 6 sens. with out falsing. I just picked up a CZ-7a haven't got it yet as just shipped. I hope it is as hot as my CZ-7a Pro. I always wanted a CZ-7a as they are just so rare and different than other CZ's. But all the ones I looked at or were offerd were well used or a little high priced. This one was a real closet queen only used a hand full of times so I took a shot even though I don't need another CZ ,But what the heck you only go around once!
Difference is CZ7A is a S mount and CZ7A pro is a pistol grip and the CZ7A runs on AA batteries under the armrest not nine volt batteries of conventional CZ's....and CZ7A is a tad heavier but the ergonomics are much improved sort of like a 1266 setup....
