CZ ground balance question

kickback

New member
Late this afternoon I took my CZ 70 out in the garden and ground balanced using the "bobbing" method.I followed the manuals instruction. The detector ground balanced at between 3 and 4.The tone stayed the same whether raising or lowering the coil.Would this indicate that the soil is mineralized?I was of the understanding that we didn't have much ground mineralization. Thanks

It was explained to me many years ago that position of the ground balance knob when balanced neutral has no bearing on the mineralization of the ground..Matter of fact might ground balance 2 CZ's in same area and the ground balance knob position may differ..Perhaps a call to Fisher may get you a more technical answer...In my neck of the woods usually balances from 4 to 6....
I do hope I understood your question from your post..
