I was wondering if there was depth scale or graph that was done on all the fisher cz made from new to old .with stock coil? It would interesting to see what would be the outcome on it?
Ted, I think that graph would be pretty much a flat line as all the CZ's pretty much performed the same. Allowing for some machines that may be hotter than others, I honestly doubt there is more thana couple inches difference at most. The most important thing is getting an accurate ground balance
and sweeping the detector slow for maximum depth. I have used the cz6a, 7a pro, cz70 pro, and cz5, and they are all excellent performers. I am partial to the analog cz5 because you have a finer range of adjustments than that of the digitals. They are very capable detectors even today with all the new fangled detectors on the market and will hold their own against the best of them..........HH
Having started with a CZ6 and using every model CZ ever made up to the CZ3D and Joe's post is spot on..Might also add coil for coil size is as deep or deeper than anything on the market today.
Well thankyou for your reply Roger on the cz machine 's . I really just starting for figure out how my cz 7apro can handle in depth ihave used other machines for 20 years. The machine has great depth with the stock on it all most the same as 1266xb which is a good machine too. It just learning curve for me it will take time to fully understand the machine. If anyone can givesome tip's that would be nice thankyou
Here is a universal. Air test and cable test to make sure your unit is up to standard. Cables tend to get mini breaks on either end and lose depth either intermittently or permanently. It may or may not stop working completely. Gently rotate you cable one end then the other while listening to a fixed signal and/or watching the dial. Having a partner help is a big help. A test garden can take the place of air testing, but if you have one you already know that. Remember ground range and air range are not the same. To air test crank GB and sens to 10. A clad dime should hit to 10 inches plus or minus an inch or two.
I how this is helpful!
