Cz Air Test and a Question

Hello All Thought some of you guys might enjoy this read..This Goes to show the cz's are still some of the hottest machines out there I. have been going over some old notes with air test that I have done in the past -- Had a cz5 a few years ago that I air tested-GB-5,..Sens-4.5....disc-0 ...with 8 inch coil...Buff nickle-9 inches...wheat-10 inches...silver dime-9-1/2 all with smooth solid tone.....sent same detector to Keith Wills in Texas for callibration results....setting/coil same as above... Buff nickle-10 inches..wheat-11 inches...silver dime-11 inches all smooth tones....Next was a CZ-70 that suprised me when I air tested GB-5...Sens-4(any higher it falsed) vol-5...disc-0... 8 inch coil... Buff nickle-8-1/2.inches...wheat-8-3/4.inches.....silver dime-9 inches all smooth tones..... but when I tested it in my test garden (test garden about 10 years old at the time) it hit items a lot deeper than it air tested (several inchesin fact) ...I now have a cz6a that I air tested a couple of weeks ago GB-5...Sens-4.5...vol-5...disc-0..8 inch coil..Buff nickle-10-3/4 inches...wheat-11-1/4 inches...silver dime-11 inches..all smooth signals which is awesome for a machine this old... Dan had mentioned that it seemed the newer cz 5's and 70's disc.out iron better and I believe he is correct on this observation. .and I have a question for any of you guys that owns one of the older models like the 6a's have you noticed this (iron problem) and have any of you sent your cz in for a checkup/callibration within the last year or so.to FT and it came back discriminating out iron better and hot as ever ...thanks for all responses HH joe

Got to love the CZs. My first Fisher machine was a CZ3d. It led me to try an F70 and an original F75. I have owned 2 CZ70s, 3 CZ3ds and now I have an LTD F75. I still love to drag out the CZ70 when I don't want to listen to a lot of signals. My present CZ3 is my deepest one ever. I think a lot of people would rather live with some mild falsing and learn to work around the iron to avoid the unknown of service. I have always been happy when my machines have made the trip back but there is that element of tuning that scares all of us a little. Still hoping Fisher has a new improved hybrid CZ up there sleeve for the next big thing.

Cometguy...said it all "that element of tuning that scares all of us a little".......honestly heard pro and con but if I had a CZ6A that tested as well as yours would leave well enough alone...as far as I am concerned older CZ's were as deep as any and all the tuning in the world is not going to change its likeness for iron....
Now if it was a CZ3D I understand some are not spot on relative various target facets but certainly not applicable to your CZ6A.....
PS: depending on your ground indeed CZ's will go deeper for coins than they will air test and certainly several ways to tell that dang rusty nail that rings out like a high coin.
