On the beach they would go neck and neck ... some edge to the CZ-70 on a salt water beach.
In a park for coins ... I would want the CZ-70.
Civil War battle field or out in the woods ... give me the 1260.
Just my humble opinion ... but if I could find a new CZ-70 I would buy it in a heartbeat.
Both detectors are great machines in there own right, but for all around use the cz70 would be my pick of the two. You get many more features with the cz70 plus you can hipmount it to take some weight off your arm if using a big coil.
BJ in OKLA........Can you explain the difference in the coil for the 1260 and the rest of the 1200 series please? I used all of the 1200 series in the past and the only difference I ever saw was the smaller metal coil bolt that was used. I bought one of these smaller holed 11" coils for my 1998 model 1266 and all I had to do was ream the smaller holes out to 1/4" for it to fit my 1266. It worked fine and all I have ever read is all 1200 series coils are interchangeable. thanks ...........Roger
