cz 70 pro....a good buy or not???

I just bought a cz70 pro and is supposed to be in good working condition.I bought it because of all the good things i hear about them.Is 455.00 a good price for one?Just curious and how does it work in trashy areas and old yards.Thank you for any replys.

I e-mailed the seller a couple of days ago about it :) $455 is reasonable for one in good shape. It's a very easy and straightforward machine to use. ID mode, sensitivity at 4, nothing notched, I like volume at 10 and adjust with my headphones although some like it at 4 so they can tell deep from shallow but with deeper targets it's fainter even at 10, ground balance and you're good to go. I mainly hunt in trashy yards an usually know what I'm digging up before I dig with a very accurate depth meter compared to most any other machines out there. Happy hunting!

Unfortunately CZ's are easily masked but on the good side its user friendly and certainly one of the deepest detectors on the planet...Do go slow and am sure it will serve you well. An added feature with its salt mode is one of the best saltwater wet sand units around...Google Mikes CZ page as it has a lot of info on CZ's in general...

In my experience, CZ's are still good in iron if you have a well-tuned machine, nothing notched, sensitivity no more than 4 on the CZ-70 to minimize falsing, go slow, 50% overlap of swings and hit the site from different angles. I can put a square nail on a dime and hit it from most angles with a Zn penny reading or with a nail about 1-2 inches from a dime...this even holds true with an Explorer too and most other machines out there in my experience. I would highly recommend using the different CZ coils 5 and 10 1/2 to unmask some good targets missed with the 8 inch...HH

thank you very much for your replies. Also i would like to add that i hope it is a lifesaver because when my wife finds out i bought another metal detector shes gonna kill me.Ill be letting you know what i find with it.Lots of coins in the ground here to find.

I hope you find an awesome ring for her quickly, Rex!

I bought one like new off Ebay last spring for $379.00 plus shipping. It is easy to use.I have found old coins at 8-9 inches with it in my mineralized ground.I got a small coil 5" and it is surgical in heavy trash.Enjoy.Bill
