CZ-70, depth on gold Norm vs. Salt

Just wondering if any fellow CZ owners have/will air test gold(rings), switching between norm & salt mode. I noticed a big difference in depth. How about you? Thanks

Hey man, sorry I didn't get back to you on this sooner. I intended to do it and then got sidetracked.

In my house, middle of the room, Fisher 10.5" coil, sens on 4, GB on 5...coil propped on a chair, using a ruler.

Medium-large 14K men's gold/diamond ring - Normal=12" Salt=11"

Medium 14K men's band - Normal=10" Salt=9"

Small/Thin Ladies 14K Blue Sapphire ring - Normal=8" Salt=7.5"

Looks to be an inch difference across the board for me. I also do believe that on actual in-ground targets, away from all the EMI in the house, it would do AT LEAST as well...probably a tad better.
