CZ-5 serial number starting with 1123

Personally, I think any CZ detector is a desirable detector to have.

I believed the detector with the serial number you are inquiring about has been manufacutured by First Texas Products and its serial number appears on a white label affixed to the control box.

Some say the older Fisher Research Labratory CZ's are more desirable? These detectors had their serial numbers on a copper colored label affixed to the bottom of the control box.

Which is the more desirable... it a matter of user opinion and the luck of the draw.

I consider myself fortunate... I've got well built, deep seekers from both FRL and FTP. :)

I was told that all CZ-5's came from Calif. and all CZ-3d's except 1021 ser. #'s were from Texas....

Tiggar, I think it is just a bit different. All non CZ3Ds were Los Banos made. I don't know what SN the move came at but many were made after 1021 before the move.
Clear as mud?

Tiggar let me see if I can correct myself without making myself sound too foolish...

If your detector has a white label that has Fisher Research Laboratory along with the serial number printed on it then I believe it was made by Fisher Research Laboratory in California.

Sorry for the confusion.

I have a CZ5 with 1121 series serial number. It was made in Los Banos & is one of the desired ones to have. I believe the transition to Texas was made during the 1121 production.

All CZ-5's are Los Banos made and the 1021,1121,CZ-3D's are also. The rest of the CZ-3D's are First Texacan's..........
