cz 5 question

I am about to trade my1 year old Fisher gold bug dp wt 2 coils for a cz 5 wt 3 coils. I had the cz 5 back in 94 and it worked good. My question is how well has this detector held up over the years and if I need a part will I be able to get it ?

Thanks Jerry

I recently inquired to Fisher about that and was told, as long as they have parts they will continue to service the older units.

I got my CZ-5 in 1994 Not once have I ever had an issue with it !! built tough!! I could never be without myCZ , Excellent Detector!!

Fisher indeed has parts for analog CZ's and will fix them...Using every model CZ every made over the last 20 years have to admit little or no problems along the way.
Personally your deal would be better if its one of the newer CZ5 units with a plastic armrest as of course its newer and due to its age would prefer not to trade for an early one as they originated in roughly 93. But in any case even many original CZ6 units still going strong...

CZ's are as deep of a machine on the planet. We love Dave J

just bought a cz-5 can you tell me how to get in contact with the man that does the upgrades ?? thanks steve f
