Ok,I knew this thing wasn't working right! Finally it would quit working, but a tap on the side of the box will start it working again, but then quit.I keep a coin in my shoe to check my detector with and it would just quit!
What are the instruction for shipping back to the factory?Do I include a list of my problems?I know I should remove the coil cover, what about batteries?

with a detailed description of what the problem is along with your phone number & return address. I would call them first to make sure of payment instructions if the repair isn't covered under warranty.

Thats about it.

(209) 826-3292. I'm sure they will direct you, Jim.

Hope that helps!

sand can get trapped between the coil & cover and then with shipping can slip out from between the coil & cover and cause scratches all over your detectors control housing. Also regarding the batteries, I never ship a detector with batteries installed in it already. Sometimes even new batteries can leak and cause damage. So I remove them and include them in the shipping box in a zip lock baggie.

Also, depending on the age of your CZ5, if its over two years old, you might have to include $25.00 when shipping the detector, I believe this is for return shipping. This is required I believe on any Fisher detector, even ones with warranty. It should explain this to you on the warranty card.

Good luck,
Mike

Thanks to all of you.Warranty shouldn't be a problem.I just purchased it new around February.

I sent my CZ-70 back twice in two years for a repair and I never sent any money. I figured I'm paying to ship it THERE, they can pay to ship it BACK. And they did. It may SAY that but I'm glad I didn't read it. :)
