cz 5 autotune

Hi all,
Was bench testing cz 5 10 inch coil in disk mode able to id dime at 13 inches. I switched to autotune and lost signal at 8". Is this normal not to get as much depth in autotune/all metal ? I've been detecting since 1977 and have found all my detectors got best depth in AM mode.

Thanks Jerry

Make sure the sens is maxed when testing in autotune.
My cz air tests deeper in disc mode, vs autotune. Also goes deeper on real world in the ground targets, in disc mode.

From my experience with CZ's disc will go deeper than autotune, however autotune gives a bigger footprint(covers more ground) and can be a good tool in older places with little junk. Just nature of the beast but have gotten some nice coins in autotune in large old areas where you need more coverage. Very simple on analog CZ's to go from autotune to disc. with one click of the dial. Steve is right on with keeping the sens. maxed which will also give you a loud threshold and more depth...

From my experience, all the CZ's I have used or owned went deeper in discriminate mode.

Your CZ5 is working just fine.
