First trip to the beach with my new detector ,using the 10.5 coil for coverage ,sens on 4 ,found this at about 7" a 9 diamond engagement ring ,my first thin gold band ,the coil was very good ,but flapped about a little, not wanting to strip the thread on the plastic bolt ,in need of a stabiliser ?????.

pinpointing was very good ,overall impression excellent detector ,anyone know where I can buy a control box cover,

My 10.5" coil doesn't flop around. Before you tighten the bolt up, though, take the bolt and wingnut to Lowe's or the Home Depot and get some spares. Carry those in your vehicle, just in case. I've broken a bolt out in the field, and had to make a trip to the store. A spare would have cut down on driving time.

Hope diamonds are real as fakes are being put in even 14kt. Only a jeweler can tell..Allen covered the coil problem well..problem with a coil stabiizer it keeps the coil in one position and never found a place on land that I didn't have to adjust a hair now and then to make it completely flat with ground and the above does not let you do so. Rule of thumb tighten with your hand and hope you haven't forgot the rubbers on each end which allow one to tighten or loosen at will..
