Just Bought a 3D WOW ! i must say its a fine machine & its hard for me to say this but i like it better then my X5.& my minelab my compass & my whites & the dmc II B. & i would like to think i master all the machines i have. But this Fisher is hard to beat Great Job & Thanks FISHER.

I'm crazy about mine too. I like my ExpII but the "D" stands for "Deep" and it out does my ExpII most of the time without all the fancy programs.

There is an old school where I take every new detector that I get (been doing this for about 20 yrs. now). The CZ3D found a merc., three wheats and a lot of older clad and nickles. It had been a LONG time since so much had been found at this site and it sure was a lot of fun. Next thing I want to do is get a 5" coil and see how that does there.
Has anyone used the 5" coil and how did it do? Does it have much depth?

And works well for many in user friendly fashion. I see where Fisher is coming from with its old and new modes(sort of dig more to find more in old coins mode) but still prefer a convential CZ. For years have argued CZ meters should have more and smaller facetted meters not larger facet ones, however they sure go deep in user friendly fashion...Again whatever works....

The 5'' coil works great with good depth. I was using one today on my CZ70 nothing real deep. Deepest was a good 6" on a wheatie, but really picks them out of the trash.

The Cz 5" doesn't lose much depth compared to a 8" loop in terms of coin hunting. It's a great coil. I only used it for cutting down target masking and once for nugget hunting.
