CZ 3D Problem

Hello Guys i am new to your forum
I wonder if someone can help me?
I live in the UK
Problem is

I ground balance the CZ 3D as per manual ( 2 methods tried )
Yet with the sens at 5 when i sweep accross some small coins i get a nice beep/ beep sharp shound the meter ids in the middle of the meter , i think great, then the machine suddenly gives me a VERY FAINT ECHO tone and the meter go straight to the far right.
I had a CZ6 before and it never done this?
I have even taken the machine back to the shop and got it replaced , yet the Second one does the same WHY

i use the 8" 10" and the larger sun ray coil, its the same on all

PS how well do you guys over in the US rate this machine

Hi...my CZ70 Pro did the same thing. Found out that the headphones I was using seemed to work fine but really wasn't compatible with the CZ70. If you are using headphones try switching to a headphone set that has a mono-stereo switch and see it it makes any difference when you switch from mono to stereo. Hope this helps.

First of all your sensitivity parameters have been changed versus a CZ6 and tough to use over 4 sensitivty in U.S. while 6-7-8 may be possible on the CZ6. Could be your problem and try it at sens. 4...Charles is a learned detectorist and would also try different headphones. As you tried several coils your coil is good and haven't heard of many CZ coils going bad. Personally am a silver coin hunter in U.S. and understand the old and new setup so it doesn't help me so personally use a convential CZ without this toggle for old and new areas..and yep tried a CZ3D and went back to an older CZ. where the toggle gives you a regular and salt mode..I would feel with the complexity of innards a poor solder joint or weak component could cause the problem, but trying a second one that is unlikely. Don't know if you have a Fisher number to call in U.K. but you can E-mail Fisher in U.S. and perhaps get an answer..Do let us know if you find the problem...
